Surgical Technique
There are a wide variety of nipple and areolar procedures that can be used. Some of them can be done under local anesthetic in the office.
For example, both men and women may have enlarged nipples with fairly normal areolae, and for them, the procedure can often be done in the office under local anesthetic.
What to Expect
Following the procedure, patients may experience some swelling and discomfort that typically will subside within a few days. Dr. Nachbar and his team will provide post-procedure instructions to ensure a successful healing process.
Depending on the procedure, the result may be apparent immediately, or may take several weeks as any swelling resolves.
