This 40 year old woman had had a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and had successfully lost weight. As a result, she had extra skin in several areas. The general surgeon who had performed the gastric surgery did a limited “panniculectomy” to reduce some of the extra skin, but the scar healed poorly, and the result was sub-optimal.
