SELECTED COMPUTER SOFTWARE:

Rabbit
A suite of programs to statistically analyze the cephalometrograms of rabbits with experimental craniosynostosis. Written in C to run under UNIX.

Impairment
An interactive program to calculate the impairment caused by a defined injury to the hand and upper extremity, according to the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. Marketed to Plastic, Hand, and Orthopedic Surgeons. Written in C to run under DOS.

Skin
A program for three-dimensional finite-element analysis of skin under tension, using a simple spring-oriented model of skin elasticity. Written in C to run under DOS.

DispImg/Quant3D
DispImg is an image display and manipulation program to allow delineation of structures on images generated by CT/MRI scans, etc. Quant3D analyses the resulting information for volume, surface area, etc. Associated programs include routines to convert CT and MRI data from their native file formats. Written in C to run under UNIX and X11R3, and ported to run under Windows 3.

Review
A program for reviewing the questions and answers of the In-Service Exam in Plastic Surgery, published annually by the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation beginning in 1991. Written in C to run under DOS, and in C++ to run under Microsoft Windows.

EnterS
A multi-user network program for coordinating and submitting surgical charges to the Billing Agency (University Physicians Associates). Has been used for all charges submitted by the UNM Dept. of Surgery since February 1991; over $31 million through October 1993. Written in C to run under DOS.

Video Theater
A program to show the progress of videos shown at a multi-station video theater. Operates over a network; theater operator enters video number and station when the video starts; conferees observe another monitor. Used at the annual meeting of the ASPRS/PSEF/ASMS since 1994. Written in C++ using MFC to run under Microsoft Windows.
